Our story
Ayurveda, the ancient system of conscious and healthy living, originated in India more than 5,000 years ago. First introduced to the West in the late 1960’s, it is often referred to as the science of life (Ayur = life; Veda = science or knowledge). In 1969, Yogi Bhajan, Master of Kundalini Yoga and inspirational teacher of Ayurveda and holistic living, started teaching yoga in the West. He shared with his students his wisdom and knowledge of healthy living and the use of selected herbs and spices, all while serving a soothing and aromatic spiced tea which they affectionately named “Yogi Tea”. Today, that same inspiration can still be found in each and every cup of Yogi Tea®.
